Redeemer Center for Life’s Mission
As an agent of hope and transformation, Redeemer Center for Life will preserve a vibrant community in which every child is supported, each family empowered, and neighbors encouraged to grow, thrive and contribute to their full potential. RCFL empowers dreams to become reality.
At Redeemer Center for Life, we invest in the human spirit.
Music, art, language, communal meals, healthy housing and the connectivity of the human spirit have been proven to encourage community life and empower those oppressed by poverty and social systems to self-advocate for better conditions. In the Harrison Neighborhood of North Minneapolis, RCFL puts an urban twist on social capital building by using hip-hop, rap, poetry, quilting, film screenings, the business arts, block parties, wireless access, video and audio production, empowerment training and multi-cultural communing to empower a neighborhood to be itself. Neighbor-infused spaces at RCFL include the Peace Palace for youth, The Living Room neighborhood communing space, twenty-three affordable housing units and a community garden.
Empowering people to help each other by offering places to connect, thrive and grow, creates solutions that are authentic, trustworthy and sustainable.
